November 9, 2024 WestConn Football Routs Framingham State In Record-Setting Offensive Effort DANBURY, Conn. - The Western Connecticut State University Wolves set a new single-game scoring record and defeating the visiting Framingham State University Rams, 76-18, in Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) football action this afternoon at Westside Stadium.  WestConn, ranked No. 6 in New England, improves to 7-2 overall and 7-1 in the MASCAC, while the Rams drop to 2-7 overall and 2-6 in the league.  The Wolves host MASCAC Castleton in the final game of the 2024 regular season on Saturday, November 16 at 2 p.m.  The 76 points breaks WestConn's previous record of 70 scored against Fitchburg State in 2013.
October 26, 2024 WestConn Football Overwhelms Worcester State DANBURY, Conn. - Senior RB Kamryn Holmes (Branford, Conn.) rushed 18 times for 107 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Western Connecticut State University Wolves to a 61-7 win over the visiting Worcester State University Lancers in Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) football action this afternoon at Westside Stadium.  WestConn, ranked No. 5 in New England, improves to 6-1 overall and 6-0 in the MASCAC with its sixth victory in a row.  The Wolves will face the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth Corsairs in a battle of the last two MASCAC teams with undefeated league records next Saturday on the road at 3 p.m.
August 28, 2024 Western Connecticut to join Landmark Cut loose by the MASCAC over the offseason, WestConn will have a conference home in 2025 after all, in the Landmark.
October 20, 2023 WestConn Football Pulls Away from Massachusetts Maritime With Dominant Defense DANBURY, Conn. - The Western Connecticut State University defense allowed just 130 total yards, as the Wolves handed the visiting Massachusetts Maritime Academy Buccaneers a 28-0 loss in Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) football action this evening at Westside Athletic Complex.  WestConn improves to 5-2 with its fourth victory in a row, as the Wolves close the year with a pair of road games in the conference against Worcester State and Fitchburg State coming up on the next two Saturdays.  Massachusetts Maritime falls to 2-5 overall and 2-3 in the league.  Raquell Davis (Mastic Beach, N.Y.) enjoyed a stellar final home game on Senior Day, totaling 10 tackles (seven solo) and a sack for the Wolves.
October 14, 2023 WestConn Football Cruises Past Framingham State FRAMINGHAM, Mass. - Junior quarterback Keion Jones (Mount Vernon, N.Y.) threw for 462 yards and five touchdowns to guide the Western Connecticut State University football squad to a 56-34 victory at MASCAC foe Framingham State University on Saturday afternoon at Bowditch Field. Rookie wide receiver Dae'Shawn Allen (White Plains, N.Y.) notched six catches for 211 yards and three touchdowns, while graduate student running back Chad Blaszky (Selden, N.Y.) provided the punch from the ground, rushing for 112 yards on 25 carries, while racking up three scores (two rushing and one receiving).
